Within the framework of the unique development project "MUNIS" jointly with the World Bank and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the subproject 01-24 "Modernization of the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan to create an Accredited Microbiological Testing Laboratory (AMTL)" is being implemented at the Institute of Microbiology, aimed at improving the infrastructure and expanding the microbiological research capabilities of the institute.

ABOUT CONFERENCE
We invite you to the international scientific and practical conference “Status and
development prospects of fundamental and applied microbiology: the viewpoint of
young scientists” on September 25-26, 2024 which held at Institute of Microbiology of
the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and organized in collaboration
with and international scientific journal “Science and Innovation”!
The conference is organized in accordance with the "Plan of international and
republican scientific and scientific-technical events" approved by order No. 76 of the
Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan
dated March 20, 2024.

Khusanov the employees of the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated from 17.04.2024 to 20.06.2024 in the international forum "Trade-investment opportunities and cooperation prospects" dedicated to the anniversary of the 10th international trade fair "Sughd - 2024" held in Khojand, Sughd region according to the proposal of the Executive body of the state power of Sughd region.

The scientific profile of the Institute is biology and biotechnology of microorganisms, the use of microorganisms in the national economy.
About Us
Currently, the main objectives of the institute are:
- study of the diversity of the world of microorganisms;
- ecology, systematics, biology, physiology, cytology and genetics of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi;
- creation of a regional collection and maintenance of practically valuable cultures of microorganisms, allowing the development of environmentally friendly biotechnologies;
- study of the physiology and biochemistry of microorganisms, their biosynthesis of enzymes, proteins, vitamins, antibiotics and the development on their basis of new technologies for obtaining physiologically active substances and strains - superproducers;
- addressing issues related to environmental protection by studying the microbial decomposition of cyanide and other pesticides;
