From 1986 to 2012, the laboratory conducted studies on the mechanisms of microbial synthesis of coenzymes NAD and Q10, vitamin B12, statins, including the study of the regulation of key enzymes of the metabolism of these compounds, including NCMH pyrophosphorylase, NADase, poly(ADP-ribosyl) transferase, cobalt- chelatase.
Since 2012, the main scientific direction of the laboratory has been:
- study of the diversity of endophytic fungi of rare and medicinal plants growing on the territory of Uzbekistan;
- study of the systemic distribution of endophytes and the metabolic dependence of the production of bioactive secondary metabolites on the properties of the host plant;
- study of the bioactivity of secondary metabolites of endophytic fungi, including antibiotic, hypoglycemic, antioxidant, cytostatic, hypolipidemic, and other properties.
- development of methods for isolation and purification of bioactive secondary metabolites of endophytic fungi and identification of the nature of the most active compounds
- assessment of the biotechnological potential of endophytic fungi of plants in Uzbekistan as a new source of valuable bioactive compounds for therapeutic purposes.

Abdulmyanova L.I. invited by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Higher Education "Kazan National Research Technological University" Safin R.R. to participate in a seminar with reports for faculty and students. Gulyamova T.G. and Abdulmyanova L.I. carried out a business trip from December 3-10, 2022 in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan). They visited the departments and the laboratory of engineering problems of the Institute of Food Biotechnology of KNRTU under the guidance of Doctor of Chemical Sciences Sirotkin A.S., discussed the possibility of conducting joint research and submitting applied projects in the field of application of nanomelanin in pharmaceuticals, medicine, cosmetology and bioelectronics with Doctor of Chemical Sciences, prof. Department of Food Biotechnology Sysoeva M.A., got acquainted with the activities of the laboratories of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of Kazan Federal University. They took part in a scientific meeting - a seminar (http://www.kstu.ru/event.jsp?id=138114&id_cat=0) with reports for the faculty (Gulyamova T.G.), bachelors and masters (Abdulmyanova L. I.). We signed a memorandum of cooperation with representatives of the international department of KNRTU. The business trip was financed at the expense of the project: F3-201912269.
The executors of the project F3-201912269 leading researcher, DSc Abdulmyanova L.I. and leading researcher, DSc Nasmetova S.M. invited by the director of the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Shepshelev A.A. to participate in the XIII International Scientific Conference "Microbial Biotechnologies: Fundamental and Applied Aspects". Abdulmyanova L.I. and Nasmetova S.M. carried out a business trip from June 5-12, 2023 in Minsk (Republic of Belarus). They took part in the plenary and breakout sessions of the conference (https://mbio.bas-net.by/2023/), visited the exhibition of products of the Institute, Belarusian biotechnological enterprises and suppliers of equipment and reagents for biological research.
In order to discuss the prospects for joint cooperation within the framework of projects submitted to the Agency for Innovative Development, we visited the Institute of Experimental Botany named after VF Kuprevich of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the laboratory "Mycology" and the laboratory "Relationships between soil microorganisms and higher plants" of the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
We discussed methodological issues with the head. lab. Shabashova T.G. and Ananyeva I.N. To discuss the issues of the project currently being implemented, a meeting was held with Kurchenko V.P. - Professor of the Faculty of Biology of the Belarusian State University, Head of the Laboratory of Applied Problems of Biology, Editor of the journal "Proceedings of BSU". We discussed the possibility of joint publication of research results. The business trip is financed at the expense of the project: F3-201912269 according to the calendar plan.
