Scientific activity of the laboratory

- Development of new environmentally friendly bacterial fertilizers and biological products for the production and application of biotechnologies based on effective local strains of soil and rhizosphere microorganisms capable of mobilizing phosphate and potassium in order to increase soil fertility and crop yields;

- Search for new strains of microorganisms that have antagonistic properties against phytopathogens and pests of agricultural crops and stimulate the growth and development of plants to create biofungicides and bioinsecticides;

 - Production of environmentally friendly biological products based on green microalgae in order to improve the processes of photosynthesis of agricultural plants and reduce the consumption of irrigation water;

- Isolation of salt-resistant soil bacteria and rhizobacteria from saline and brackish soils, creation of new biological preparations for soil desalination on their basis. Development of biotechnology for bioremediation of saline, degraded soils using microbial biotechnologies and phytomeliorants;

- Study of lytic enzymes responsible for antagonistic activity, as well as the mechanism of their action and the nature of biologically active substances;

 - Screening of active local strains of nitrogen fixers (associative, free-living and nodule bacteria) to create complex polyfunctional bacterial preparations for plants; - Studying the possibility of using microalgae biomass as functional bioadditives in animal husbandry, poultry farming and fisheries.

AL-412105513 "Creation of a collection of local strains of nodule bacteria Bradyrhizobium japonicum (in vitro) and development of a new bacterial fertilizer based on them" (2022-2023).

Major Scientific Achievements

- A large collection of free-living nitrogen-fixing bacteria belonging to the genera Azospirillum, Azotobacter, blue-green algae Nostoc, Anabaena, Gloethece, Synechococcus and nodule bacteria Sinorhizobum, Rhizobium, Bradyrhizobium has been created;

- A collection of unicellular green algae belonging to the genera Chlorella, Scenedesmus, Ankistrodesmus, Chlorococcum, Chlamydomonas, Coelastrum, Stichococcus, Asterococcus, having the production potential to produce biodiesel;

- On the basis of bacteria of the genera Rahnella, Pantoea, Enterobacter, Bacillus, and Pseudomonas, a collection of bacteria was created that provides plants with phosphorus and potassium by dissolving (mobilizing) sparingly soluble phosphorus and potassium compounds in the soil.

- Creation of effective biological products for agricultural biotechnology of the republic based on active nitrogen fixers, resistant to salinity and producing a large number of phytohormones (auxin, gibberellin) to increase soil fertility and crop yields;

-Creation of microbial preparations that protect agricultural plants from various phytopathogens and selection of bacterial strains that are active destructors of organochlorine pesticides using them to restore soil fertility in Uzbekistan;

-Creation of biological preparations of nodule bacteria that form effective symbiotic nodules in the root system of leguminous plants;

-Study of some mechanisms of salt resistance of nitrogen-fixing, phosphate- and potassium-mobilizing bacteria;

-Study of the influence of local diazotrophic microorganisms on soil fertility, improvement of the agrochemical composition, and development of scientifically based methods for obtaining high yields of agricultural crops in extreme conditions (drought, salinization, pollution by pesticides and heavy metals);

-Studying the possibility of using microalgae biomass as functional bioadditives in livestock, poultry, and fisheries;

- Creation of semi-industrial production of environmentally friendly biofertilizers (bactericidal fertilizers, biological products, biofungicides);

-Development of recommendations and guidelines for the use of biological products for agriculture.
