Young People Create Art from Microorganisms: Agar Art Contest in Tashkent

On September 16, 2025, the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a creative contest and an open master class called “Agar Art” to spark young people’s interest in science and familiarize them with scientific innovations and the work of researchers.
During the event, participants, with the support of scientific staff, created artistic compositions on Petri dishes using safe, non-pathogenic microorganisms and presented their works for the competition.
The best works will be awarded during the international conference to be held at the Institute on September 24–25.
